The Practice has been accredited by the Postgraduate Deanery for Kent, Surrey and Sussex to train doctors intending to become general practitioners.  Sometimes the doctor may wish to video record their consultations - your permisssion will always be requested beforehand and your care in no way compromised if you choose to decline. 

The practice also contributes to the training of medical students. Sometimes you may be asked if a student can "sit in" with your doctor. You are entitled to decline but your co-operation is appreciated.

Woodbridge Hill Surgery is certified as Research Ready by the RCGP(Royal College of General Practitioners.  Members of the PCRN-SE (Primary Care Research Network South East) which is part of the National Institute for Health Research and Clinical Research Network, which suppots research to make patients, and the NHS, better.

The practice is sometimes asked to take part in research projects. Only research approved by ethical committees is carried out. Patients will always be informed and have the right not to take part in a research  project.
